What You'll Do

You will work in Switch Integrated Security Features (SISF) team, deeply motivated Python Developer and QA testing to assure our software quality, as well as personally working to reach innovative solutions to business problems. You will write automation scripts on python and customize it for business need, also you will need roll-up sleeves and probe hardware in the lab when required.

Who You'll Work With

As an QA Engineer, you’ll work with whole SISF feature team to producing switch integrated security, also provide host detect for SDA solution which are Cisco solution promoting to customer currently.

Who You Are

You will test switch SISF function, create test plan, execute test cases manually, also create python based automated test cases, update existing automation test cases, investigate failures uncovered through testing to find root cause of issues and report defects to appropriate parties. You will also Create/execute manual test cases and collaborate with developers. Implement performance tests and investigate performance degradation's as well

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP/IPv6, routing protocols
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodology: 3+ years deriving comprehensive test plans from requirements and user stories, and authoring and execution of test cases.
  • Good experience of writing test plan base on function specific
  • 1-3 years testing network systems
  • 1-3 years Linux Scripting (Bourne/Bash/Python)
  • 1-3 years OOP experience (Java, C++, or similar language)

Desired Skills:

  • Python programming experience, other script (bash/tcl etc) programming experience
  • TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, routing, security experience
  • Basic C/Java programming
  • QA Testing experience
  • Non-functional Testing
