Mitel seeks a highly motivated Senior Business Systems Analyst with experience serving as an advocate for business and functional organizations relative to Business Processes and Systems/Services. The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for contributing to the developing an IT roadmap for designated business units by leveraging knowledge of IT systems and capability, along with deep understanding of business unit objectives, initiatives and challenges. The Senior Business Systems Analyst owns the process to document new requirements for systems and enhancements and will work with the IT Systems Analyst team to design, develop, and deploy new systems or enhancements for internal and external facing systems.


As an integral member of the IT Business Processes & Systems team, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will liaise with Mitel’s business units on eliciting and validating requirements for new requests, including those for large scale transformative projects, and develop deep knowledge of Mitel business systems and organizational capabilities.


The Senior Business Systems Analyst is accountable for the documentation and mapping of current business processes to the desired state and ensures gaps are well documented. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will drive the translation of business requirements into functional specifications and technical requirements and serve as the liaison between the business, the project management & development teams.


This position may also work closely with Project Managers and lead the integration and acceptance testing efforts for key strategic projects, including test script creation, test execution and test coordination.


Responsibilities:


Documentation & Requirements

  • Defines business needs by analyzing and documenting business processes including as-is and to-be models; analysis and identification of existing gaps; including research, planning, writing use cases plus any supporting documentation.
  • Gather requirements from business units and customers to identify desired needs
  • Document test scenarios and scripts in a structured way, monitor and perform test execution and ensure test results are recorded.
  • Coordinate re-testing of defects and issues.

Relationship Management

  • Serve as a liaison between IT, business units, customers and third party vendors.
  • Communicate effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of Mitel enterprise applications
  • Provide updates and communication to Mitel business functions, management and IT; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Understand the various Mitel business entities and cross divisional relationships
