What you’ll do

An accomplished graphic and multimedia artist, you will help infuse our brand with the beauty and whimsy of Canada – from plaid to moose, people to landscapes – across a wide range of digital, print, audio and video projects.


Behind your beautiful designs, you are able to understand and collaborate with your internal customers to develop innovative functional materials that further CIRA’s business objectives, and support our position as a leader in the Internet space. 

  • Work with internal customers and the Marketing and Communications team to identify requirements and strategies for various design products.
  • Maintain CIRA’s brand standards, and provide brand elements to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Provide designs for ongoing updates to CIRA’s web properties.
  • Create graphics and other supporting visuals for CIRA campaigns, including email marketing, social media, digital advertising, and other related digital or printed collateral.
  • Help record and edit audio and video productions for CIRA’s digital properties.
  • Provide desktop publishing for CIRA’s printed or electronic
  • Source stock photographs and images.
  • Review design proofs for errors before printing or publishing.
  • Plan and manage production schedules and workflow for the design process.

What you bring

  • Minimum 4-5 years progressive experience as a graphic and multimedia designer in a fast paced, results-driven environment.
  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary degree or diploma in Graphic or Multimedia Design related program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of page layout and photographic requirements.
  • Knowledge of desktop audio and video editing software.
  • Strong knowledge of printing/publishing procedures and standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and marketing skills.
  • Ability to work with customers to translate business needs into conceptual designs creative products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to provide samples of work via portfolio and/or website.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; French language skills will be considered an asset.
