Senior Product Marketing Manager - PKI Portfolio                                  REQ# 170000I9   The rise of digital business is driving increased interactions between people and things, but brings with it risk and the need for trust.  EDC and our core PKI technology is uniquely positioned to help customers accelerate their digital business strategies by establishing trust in their infrastructure and interactions.  Doing so requires new delivery models, innovations, and relationships with key players in a rapidly changing ecosystem.   PKI is synonymous with the Entrust Datacard brand, we have a great and growing customer footprint, and we’re accelerating investments in these areas.   Position Overview:  The Senior Product Marketing Manager for the PKI Portfolio develops and executes marketing programs that deliver differentiated and compelling product line positioning and messaging to create demand and to support the growth of the portfolio globally.  You will serve as the authority on Entrust Datacard PKI in the market and be an evangelist for the portfolio on the world stage.  The position defines product positioning, messaging, and launch strategies, and drives the development of sales, channel, and end user communication to achieve measurable time-to-revenue objectives.  The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset with a proven ability to drive and execute initiatives across organizational boundaries.  This role is based in our Kanata, Ontario, Boston, MA, Dallas, TX, or Shakopee, MN offices; remote work may be considered, depending on the candidate and discretion of the hiring manager.     Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly product marketing and communication strategies and plans.
  • Develop and lead GTM activities for the launch of product releases or services offerings, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Provide content, thought leadership, tools and training in support of product launches and joint GTM efforts with direct and indirect sales.
  • Define and articulate the product communications strategies, product positioning, unique value proposition, and messaging life-cycle plans for various target audiences.
  • Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; glean deep customer insights that lead to better offering for your products; be the expert on your competition.
  • Distill key functionality and benefits into product positioning, messaging frameworks, and outbound sales and marketing materials.  Drive definition of value propositions and developing effective stories to drive impactful sales enablement across all content and messaging avenues.
  • Develop and implement product marketing programs.  Coordinate with corporate, regional and vertical marketing to align marketing initiatives and communication programs.
  • Define the sales tools, other marketing vehicles, and impactful promotional plans for Entrust Datacard sales, partners, and end users.
  • Initiate and gather research for market insights and competitive analyses.  Enable sales and product teams with market and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the development of thought leadership materials, customer presentations, white papers, contributed articles and in-depth case studies to promote and showcase Entrust Datacard’s PKI products and services.
  • Measure effectiveness of all programs used to promote and market Entrust Datacard’s PKI products and services.
  Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years high-tech software product-marketing experience; preferably in enterprise security infrastructure.
  • BA/BS required, MBA a plus.
  • Experience developing and executing product marketing strategy and selling initiatives within a global corporation
  • Experience and exceptional writing skills to take to take highly technical product information and transform it into compelling and digestible concepts, marketing materials, and sales tools.
  • Demonstrated results establishing marketing and communications plans that lead to successful product growth and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of new product launch and field marketing processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills and well-honed presentation skills.  Able to communicate complex issues and findings in a clear, structured manner appropriate for intended audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create world-class marketing content and sales tools and educate a global sales force.
  • Strong project management skills, well-organized and strong attention to detail.  Ability to structure and prioritize work in a manner that best fits the team and company needs.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with peers, cross-functional partners, industry partners, customers, and the field.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization for USA/Canada.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with indirect channel models and working with a global distribution network and complementary partners.
  • Experience with PKI and Cryptographic technologies within enterprise and government applications.
  • Previous successful leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Track record of working with industry analysts, thought leaders and other influencer communities.
