Are you an enthusiastic software installer/configurer/upgrader specialist that loves to interact with clients?

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, self-disciplined, Software Specialist to play an integral role in our Client Services team. The successful candidate will work remotely with clients to install, configure and upgrade our AKWIRE™ Visual Suite for IBM Maximo.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with strong database and technical skills, customer relations skills, as well as attention to detail who must be able to work both in a team and independently. This is a work from home opportunity, and the successful candidate must have the ability and discipline to succeed in this type of environment. Note – this individual may be required to travel to our client sites from time to time as well as to our office in Ottawa.

Must reside in the Ottawa area (Ontario, Canada) no sponsorship available

Responsibilities 

  • Main role is to remotely install, configure and/or upgrade our products within the client's environment, in a thoughtful, efficient and friendly yet professional manner
  • Perform web sessions (GoToMeetings) with our clients to perform the work
  • Become a product expert, knowing the various features and configuration settings of the AKWIRE™ Visual Suite
  • Update and fine tune our installation scripts (setup files and database scripts)
  • Help our Technical Support team in troubleshooting client issues
  • Add content to our support portal (FAQs, Forums)
  • Support our internal team with their technical issues (laptops, VMs, etc)
  • Help our Testers and perform test cases on new releases as time permits

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Must possess excellent communication skills in the English language, verbal and written (French is a definitive asset)
  • Strong experience with SQL Language (SQL Server and Oracle)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Plus, SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Server Mgmt Studio
  • Experience with SSMS, db backups/restores, query optimization
  • Ability to work on many projects in parallel
  • Must be prepared to adopt a work from home environment/setting
  • Knowledge of the AKWIRE™ Visual Suite for Maximo is a definitive asset

  • Experience with IBM Maximo
