Currently, we are ramping up our efforts for our AJISS program, Canada’s largest in-service support program working in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces, specifically the Royal Canadian Navy.



The AOPS (Arctic Offshore Patrol Ship) JSS (Joint Support Ship) IService Support program will allow Thales to leverage its Canadian expertise in project management, systems engineering and integrated logistics support to lead the development of a new Canadian supply chain that will offer comprehensive in-service support for all systems and equipment of these fleets over their operational lifetime, ensuring they are mission-ready, on time, every time, from coast to coast to coast.


To support our development, we are seeking Supportability and Reliability Analysts to join us on a full time basis in our Defenceand Security office in Ottawa. The Supportability and Reliability Analyst will conduct, contribute and assist in the preparation and delivery of various Supportability Engineering and Product Support Analyses, plans and reports.


Main Responsibilities

  • Review vendor documentation and identify maintenance and support requirements;
  • Cooperate with Engineering team in the development of Equipment Family Trees;
  • Collect, organize and expedite the necessary technical data to conduct Product and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities such as Functional Failures and Failures Modes, Effects  and Criticality Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, Sparing Analysis and  Provisioning Documentation;
  • Prepare and deliver Maintenance Plans, Preventive Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions and Performance Test.
  • Support the development of User Manuals and Training Material;
  • Assist in the develop technical proposals;
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of various plans: and
  • Attend Equipment Design Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings, as required


Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • An Engineering or Technologist degree or the equivalent in military or industry experience in the area of logistics and logistics support.
  • Above average Microsoft Windows application experience, communications and interpersonal skills are required for this position.
  • Previous experience working with application software such as OmegaPS, SLIC2B, Relex, Raptor and/or Analyzer will be considered an asset.
  • Background in communications and radar systems; crypto systems, strategic long range radio communications systems, SATCOM systems, microwave systems, PCs and area networks and telecommunications equipment is desirable.
