Major Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Executive - Major Accounts is responsible for developing and closing B2B SaaS opportunities, for major accounts.

You understand sales and how to drive opportunities through a pipeline.  Your colleagues describe you as someone who is a go-getter, high energy, and someone who knows how to get things done. The ability to develop strong client relationships, through a sales cycle that can last a few months, is critical. Ideally, you are a current-events type of person when it comes to news, technology, and social media as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find and develops new sales opportunities.Work on prospects primarily provided through the lead generation team.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and quotas.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Agility products and services.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members, sharing best practices.
  • Record sales efforts and information in a CRM.
  • Manage and close sales opportunities through accurate forecasting, account and opportunity planning, and pipeline management.  

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years in B2B sales; face-to-face meetings experience required.
  • The ideal candidate must have prior industry experience, and a strong software sales background.
  • The capability of selling direct to customers, while bringing together various partners to create the ideal customized solution for each prospect, is required.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycle, with a track record of successful quota attainment.
  • Excellent English language communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to discern customer needs, present products /services appropriately and overcome objections in a professional and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to “hunt” and “farm” accounts – find new clients, and upsell existing ones as required.
  • Consistent record of meeting/exceeding goals and quotas.
  • Knowledge, adoption, and use of key communications trends such as social networking sites.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Solid team-player and a willingness to learn.
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree an asset
  • Knowledge of the North American media industry an asset
  • PR or Communications industry background an asset
