Join one of North America’s fastest growing software companies as ranked by the Deloitte Fast 500 listing and help us grow.   Reporting to the Controller, the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is a new position responsible for a wide range of accounting and finance related responsibilities.   CENX’s current business needs centre around full cycle project accounting and associated analysis.   The vision is for the role to have full visibility to all aspects of revenue and related project costs in order to drive accurate and actionable reporting and analysis.   The opportunity will give the ideal candidate both to depth and breadth of experience to grow their careers and climb the corporate ladder. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to refine and improve CENX’s current project accounting methodology and reporting framework
  • Work with Project Management directors to forecast expected revenue, projects costs and project margins  
  • Work with Project Management directors to report on relevant professional services metrics (Ie Utilization, revenue per FTE etc…)
  • Prepare reports on the status of project revenue and costs for distribution to the CEO, CFO and executive management team
  • Assist accounting team in other aspects of monthly financial close and statutory reporting as required
  • Assist in coordinating board, shareholder and other statutory reporting
  • Oversee completion of monthly revenue accounting
  • Oversee payroll processing and associated costing


  • University degree in Business or Commerce
  • 5 years of professional accounting experience or experience as a Senior Accountant at a public accounting firm
  • Ability to work with non-finance team members to communicate financial results and achieve desired financial outcomes
  • Advanced excel skills and/or experience working with MIS/ERP systems to produce meaningful reporting
  • Preference is given to candidates with public account experience
  • Familiar with software revenue recognition and/or percent complete method of accounting
  • Familiar with high tech business models and growth plans
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
