Under medium support and guidance:

  • For product and equipment of a simple to medium complexity: assemble, rework and operate electronic and electromechanical equipment from detailed procedures, assembly drawings and manufacturing instructions
  • Ability to follow detailed assembly documentation (Drawings & Parts Lists) and instructions (Assembly Mfg Instructions & Process Routing Sheets) to perform assigned assembly tasks
  • Complete “buddy checks” as part of the quality control process
  • Adhere to workmanship standards & procedures to produce quality products. Responsible to record and report quality data in company standard quality tracking systems
  • Accountable for completion of work orders on time
  • Completes assigned tasks within expected productivity outputs
  • Communicate, prioritize & multitask to achieve team goals

Required Skills & Experience

  • Over 1 year up to and including 2 years of experience


  • Equivalent to a Grade 12 level of education at an Ontario Secondary school

Effort & Working Environment

Physical Effort

Minimal physical exertion. Work performed primarily in a sitting/forward leaning position, with occasional movement around a workplace. Moderate lifting of low weight items, with limited requirement to lift items of considerable weight. Prolonged periods of work requiring focus and concentration.

Sensory Effort

May be required to work through a microscope for up to extended periods of time. Dexterity and visual acuity required for fine/precise electronic assembly.

Working Environment

Some isolation while in production; limited exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust and noise; some repetition; moderate interruptions and occasional high volumes/multiple and tight deadlines.


Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance. Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
