General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada currently has a requirement for a co-op student in the role of Software Engineer. The Software Engineer, as part of the Maritime Acoustic Systems Group, will assist in carrying out the activities of requirements analysis, software design, code, test and documentation on the AQS-505 Acoustic Processor and the Product Development Acoustic Processor. The co-op student shall report to the Software Lead for day-to-day direction.

Required Skills & Experience
Some project based experience with particular emphasis in the software development role would be an asset.
Languages & Tools
Working knowledge of formal software lifecycle
Candidates from a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering program or equivalent.
Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
