We are looking for talented Business Analysts to join our Product Management team that can work closely with the cross-functional Scrum project teams, to become experts on the business needs, and to build effective working relationships with both technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst, you will lead requirement discussions to document, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications, business process diagrams and workflows. You will analyze a broadly defined functional area and decompose it into a set of epics and user stories as well as assisting Product Owners (Managers) with Backlog grooming, User Story development and prioritization.

You proactively seek to strategize and innovate, applying strong business acumen, collaboration and communication skills to realize Slice’s business priorities. You employ a flexible and focused approach striving for balance across business value, customer need, market expectation and user experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings and other Agile activities
  • Work closely with all members of the cross-functional Scrum team members (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, UX/UI Designers, Technical Architects, Back End, Web and Mobile Developers, DevOps, QA Analysts and Data Scientists)
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify gaps and areas of improvement
  • Create or update project deliverables, artifacts and specifications in accordance with requirements
  • Develop artifacts such as use case scenarios, screen mock-up, sequence diagrams and object models
  • Write individual user stories containing clear and concise acceptance criteria, which are easy to understand and implement by the developer(s) and provide a definition of “done” for the team
  • Search existing requirement assets for the purpose of re-use where applicable
  • Identify related user stories and epics, grouping them into themes as necessary and documenting the inter-relationship and associated business process flows as necessary
  • Participation in User Acceptance Testing


  • University or college degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years experience as a Business or Product Analyst for one or more consumer-based product(s)
  • Insurance or financial product experience (nice to have)
  • JIRA and/or JIRA Agile or equivalent (nice to have)
  • Business Analyst certification is a plus
