Ross Video is looking for a Demonstration Artist and Trainer to focus on the Abekas product line: Mira Replay and Mira Express servers; Mira Production and Tria servers; and Air Cleaner (Profanity Elimination Delay). This position will work closely with customers to improve their multi-platform content creation process using Ross Video products by demonstrating the product as part of the sales process and providing training after the product is purchased. We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in live video production (live events/sports, news, house of worship, etc.), with a minimum of five years of experience and expert-level understanding of the functions and operations of Abekas products, the ability to effectively teach operational techniques that fit a customer’s workflow, and a passion to share their knowledge and a desire to grow and improve Ross Video products.Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability:Demonstrations Provide on-site, off-site and online customer demonstrations of Abekas products Ensure integrity of the demo experience and provides feedback and input regarding product improvement Maintain demo equipment, assist with set-up and test gear prior to demonstrations Reports back to the Sales and Marketing Product Management (MPM) groups regarding current industry trends and customer feedback Maintain above average knowledge base and skill set in the functionality and demonstration of all system features for Abekas products Manage and performs detailed customer demonstrations on-site, in the Ottawa demonstration facility and at major tradeshows Develop Abekas product demonstration techniques, methods and materials for use by other Ross Video staff Training Perform customer trainings on-site, off-site and online Provide internal training for Ross Video staff Provide feedback based on customer experience for improvement of the product Maintain training equipment, assist with set-up and test gear prior to training sessions Help develop Abekas customer training methods, materials and techniques working in collaboration with the Demonstration Artists & Trainers, MPMs, other Abekas product trainers and customers. Abekas Customer Advocate Champion customer needs as applies to the Abekas customer experience, notably operational features, roll-out and training methods as well as future feature requirements Liaise with key customers on Abekas features Actively participate in Ross Video’s user forums and answer operational questions, lead key discussions and assist users of Abekas products in getting the most out of their systems and providing a superior customer experience. Abekas Product Feedback Provide feedback to the Abekas MPM & TPM on Abekas product operation, features and roadmap Suggest enhanced features and help to prioritize customer features Participate in the review process for upcoming software feature lists and provide feedback Knowledge/Education/Training/Experience: Excellent communication and presentation skills Post-secondary degree related to television broadcast or appropriate work experience Experience in the selling and marketing process for broadcast equipment is very useful Familiarity with key components used in broadcast television production Above average computer skills Knowledge of Ross Video products and a willingness to learn how to demonstrate these products Experience creating content in a television newsroom is preferred Extensive experience and knowledge of multi-platform newsroom workflow Traits: Passionate about Ross Video broadcast equipment solutions Strong interpersonal and observational skills Organized and very detail oriented Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments Self-starter, quick learner and able to work under minimum supervision Able to work independently or as part of a team Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Abekas products in a broadcast environment Other: Maximum 75% travel is required Must have a valid passport Must have a valid driver’s license Physical Demands: Requirement to set-up and tear down equipment – involves lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, stooping, cabling, etc… Work Environment: Home based office Various customer locations (broadcast studios, control rooms, educational facilities, houses of worship, sports arenas, tradeshows…)

The Manufacturing Change Coordinator position is based within the Manufacturing Support Team. This team has the responsibility and authority to plan, propose, train and coach Ross Video personnel in the implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques, for example Lean Manufacturing, Setup Time reduction, New Process Development etc., and to develop methods of measurement of success.In conjunction with manufacturing management, the incumbent will support and direct activities to secure short lead time, flexible manufacturing and supply chain processes targeted to reduce lead times, increase service levels and flexibility and reduce overall costs. Change Management Coordination Utilize online tools within Agile to direct and obtain approvals for Engineering Change Requests. Collect and enter updated manufacturing times from the shop floor. Ensure completion of manufacturing’s portion of the PPDS process. Coordinate manufacturing ACER process. Use Excel, reports and other tools to track actions required. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:Knowledge/Education/Training: Post-secondary education in administration or equivalent work experience in document control. Advanced skill level with standard office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and Microsoft Project. Experience: Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
